Will you get link credit if you use a link shortener instead of the full url?
It depends upon which link shortener you use. If you use a link shortener that uses 301 redirects then the answer is yes, you will get full credit (juice) for those links.
Here's how/why:
A 301 redirect tells the search engines the URL requested (the short URL) has “permanently” moved to the long URL. Since it’s a permanent redirect, search engines finding links to the short URLs will credit all those links to the long URL, including the keywords (anchor text) used in those links.
So the full link (including the full URL and anchor text) is logged into Google's system and not the shortened link, which let's the link juice flow freely. This has been confirmed directly by Matt Cutts of Google.
Backlink Booster uses Ping.FM for shortening links, and Ping.FM uses a 301 redirect when creating the shortened link. As a result, all of the link juice generated by boosting your backlinks flows to your backlink and onto your site for maximum benefit.

I have been using backlink booster lite for 20 days now. I fully set up my profile to all rss feeders and social networks, and YES it takes some time to get fully set up. I have boosted 5 links per day for 19/20 days (i missed one day in the middle). So far I have boosted 95 links to my website.
The results have been that I have taken my well established solidly ranked website and moved it from 5th place to 3rd place in Google rankings in under 30 days.
There are a few other things you can do to help achieve similar results, but I would like to give a solid recommendation to Tom and his software.

I continue to use backlink booster every day to boost 5 links. I also have a friend who I introduced who is using it too and having the same success as I am. We are anxious for the upgraded versions to become available.
I have also hired a guy who I have been having make me links so that I have no shortage of actual links to boost. I can imagine that a 'new' website would struggle with that, a lack of links to boost. If anyone requires a helper to help build links, I am sure he will do it for you too. He is pretty fast and cheap at it. I have him making me 40 links a week now, which now keeps up with my boosting.
I will have my friend David come visit this blog so he can share his success using the backlink booster over the past month too. |

Robert...thank you very much for another excellent comment. Around here we always say that you need to "Build & Boost (or B&B) backlinks on a continuous basis to get to the top of search results. With that in mind, your strategy is perfect and it's an excellent model for other people to follow. Thank you for sharing it.
Along those lines, we are close to launching some new link-building services to help our customers get more backlinks to their website. Our first priority is getting the Standard and Pro Editions of Backlink Booster live, but I'll keep you posted on our progress along those lines.
